I'm so excited! The figures are in for Plum's WHITE NIGHTS SCARF campaign from 2018. Almost Five thousand dollars from the purchase of the white scarves will go to Dress for Success. What an incredible win/win/win. You bought a bright scarf for yourself, you lit up the streets with your beautiful selves, some of you bought multiples for many people and in doing so, donated to Dress for Success. This organization, for over 20 years, has made global efforts to empower women to make safer and better futures for themselves. And Plum has been a proud sponsor since it's inception. How great does it feel to be part of this! Now let's look at another bright side...of fashion...for going away somewhere sunny, or for our soon to be spring. Or just because!
A carefree, breezy combination of very cool pieces that are sure to contribute to your relaxation. 100% linen skirt, with a very simple, pull on, knit band; sure to create the effortless, function and style we need on vacation. The shirt is perfect for a bit of coverage and flows well with any wardrobe.
M adjustable side linen skirt (sand or navy) $65
Always and Forever stripe viscose shirt (3 colour combinations) $59
I LOVE this look. Firstly, it's chic...it's light hearted and fresh (the stripe pants are a nice move away from solid bottoms), easy and comfortable, perfect for the warmer climates. BUT there is no reason you can't wear this now. Throw on some boots and for a casual look, a jean jacket... but for work, a blazer or long cardigan! Terrific transitional combination.
Final Touch stripe palazzo pant (black stripe) $85
Final Touch knit textured tie front top (mustard or rust) $59
HOT...HOT..HOT...but in a tasteful way! ;) Another perfect for now dress; all that's needed are layers. Add a cardigan or blazer and knee high or equestrian style boots. The neckline cries out for an eye catching necklace, pendant or even lively scarf. But if it's a southern bound trip you're taking, it provides a soft stretchy fabrication and rich, compelling, neutral colour to coordinate with multiple other shades. Terrific worn with a flowing kimono.
Final Touch high neck lined knit dress (black or olive) $89
Just an excellent, go-to dress for an all inclusive to Mexico. Lots of shirring on the bodice to accommodate whatever size your 'girls' are, a flowing skirt and side slits...for...dancing...dashing or chasing...you know, children! ;)
Spencer + Shaw off shoulder dress (navy/sunset orange print) $106
These pants are EVERYTHING! A perfect marriage of style and comfort. Linen with a knit top band and an excellent, easy leg width. OR a pair of Bermuda shorts, and if you prefer them shorter, simply cuff them up. Just enough stretch to make the pull on factor effortless. Both come in a variety of neutral shades.
M linen knit waist pant (black, navy or taupe) $75
Jag Gracie bermuda short (black, stone or white) $74
Bear Dance 'cat with glasses' t shirt (black) $35
Michelle Melrose v neck t shirt (5 colours) $39
Great when you can take part in something where, you gain something for yourself, it lights a fire in your soul and helps someone else! Like playing the slots and winning. But life isn't all about our clothing or how expensive they are. BUT what's wrong with looking good? My husband tells me my kids are dressed too nicely. Really? I purchase most of them from thrift stores but, I need not buy the fully pilled and holey garments, after all, that will be something they will easily accomplish!

Was I dreaming of a white Christmas? I guess dreaming is a bad idea (for me!) because suddenly, it appeared a plenty! Snow (or as I like to call it), silent, white road panic inducers. Nature's driving exam... if you will! Let's just say some are not as adept at driving in this as Santa. Although... maybe you dream of an aquamarine Christmas. You know, the kind that includes tropical drinks, cabana boys, crystal blue ocean views and drool inducing pool side siesta's? Maybe you're not so much dreaming, as planning. In which case, add Plum to your list of places to go first. Out of season attire is hard to find at this time of year, but not at Plum. They stock a regular, functional, in style group of fashions that you'll be thrilled to pack and excited to pull out and put on!
Polka dots are destined to be a big hit this spring, thus, killing two fashion birds with one stone. An airy, cheerful and light top that will go with nearly anything and will be totally in for spring!
Something about a long flowey skirt for a tripical vacation. Maybe it's the romantic look, ease of wear, or maybe it's simply that shaving ones legs becomes optional! Regardless, they're light and the above skirt has a funky, patchwork bohemian look, with simple to match colours.
More on the subject of the small dotted print...this dress is just the ticket for double digit tempartures...unstructured fit, lined and light with the sweet dots on a navy background. Great for cocktails at the beach side bar, with espadrille wedges and a tall stranger!
The epitome of a travel dress for a warm climate. Sporting a lively, happy print makes you appear approachable and speaks for you. No translator needed. Just a delightfully easy to wear dress with every colour to match your shoes, flip flops or dangle earrings or the colourful hand crafted bracelet you'll likely purchase.
Plum's massively popular Simone dress in a design that's been proven to fit all types. Comes in two sweet, botanical prints, shirred back for extra comfort and fit and a complimentary at knee length.
There will always be a time where more layers are needed, not a heavy cardigan, just a mere bit of extra on your arms or to compliment the co-ordinates. Enter the Kimono. Here are a couple of great selections, one more muted tones, another with slightly more pronounced hues.
When you find a fragment of good from a bad situation, that's creative; When you dream something into reality, that's magic; when you turn a desire into a vacation that's motivation! But when you turn 65 and all your body parts are still functioning..THAT'S A MIRACLE!!

As we say good bye to a potentially abominable year (no I'm not just talking about the snow), we think back. Some of us would rather not, after all, a veritable playlist of musicians left us, questionable leadership voted in, earthquakes in Italy, Haiti getting hit again and newsworthy closer to home, Fort Mac fires happening. Seemed to be more forgettable news than memorable. Either you 'Let it Go' or....get away and forget it all! If you belong to the 'LET'S GO' camp....here's a bit of packing inspiration.
Looking like angel wings preparing for winged flight, this beautiful, light cover is just what is needed to ward off a little chill.
Kerisma Eden sheer poncho (6 colours) $59
Look on the bright side....seriously! Look at this lovely, bright top. If this lively pattern doesn't brighten your mood, your destination surely will. A buffet of colours and patterns which will be simple to co-ordinate.
Wink Wink cap sleeve t shirt (3 colour patterns) $39
Another bright, lively piece that mimics 2 pieces and looks like a field of flowers. The less you have to pack the better.
Wink Wink tank dress draped top (blue or white/blue) $110
No question about it, when you think of warmer climates and just hanging out....linen comes to mind. Inevitably, if you're a 'pant' person, this is the best fabrication. Loose, light and casual.
M drawstring linen pants (navy and stripe) $90
Plum ribbed tank top (13 yummy colours) $18
Bear Dance pugs doing yoga $35
Wink Wink tank top with curved hem (blue or light blue)$55
And then there's a fantastic assortment of tank tops, graphic t's and tops. The possibilities are endless especially if you pack just right, with only a few key pieces.
Pretending 2016 did not happen is no more possible than cake being used as a weight loss method. Since neither is bound to happen any time soon, and you have a great escape planned to plot a successful 2017, make a trip to Plum first and get some good packing karma!

Remember: Until Jan.31, 2016 you could win your online purchase. Just think, your travel wardrobe could be totally covered if you win. View the resort wear collection and details here.
So you have a great vacation on the horizon, nabbed a fantastic all inclusive deal and are ready to go. If keeping the spending smart is another thing on your mind (read some great money saving ideas here), remember, money saved in one area, can be better used in another. In fact, buying resort wear is like purchasing for the impending season. Let's have a look at what Plum has to offer for a season or a reason!
This fresh, zigzag print is a great find. Easy to pair with any bottom with the wide selection of colours it provides for matching. Also great for various seasons.
Wink Wink batwing top (black/hunter/teal or black/red/pink) $55
This great, easy tunic is an excellent choice for packing; also with multiple choice of colours for matching. I can also see this paisley print working very well with a cardigan and leggings or cropped pants in spring.
Acapella sheer tunic (black/white, peach/multi) $79
Something about turquoise that's so enticing. Perhaps that it conjures up images of fields of forget-me-nots! Sweet and pretty, like this top (with a twist). Sheer enough so wearing something, such as a tank dress gives it a little extra something. And yet another piece that will work so well for spring or early summer.
Plum sleeveless top with draped twist front (black, cobalt, turquoise, white) $55
And of course, there will always be those times when what is needed is, simply a little coverage on the shoulders...this is perfect. Lightweight, a bit of sheer, pretty and practical!
Kerisma Eden sheer poncho (aqua, beige, black, coffee, coral, kelly green, royal blue, teal, white) $59
So if it happens to be that you bring in the new year on a flight to Cancun or sitting on a beach with endless blue sky above, you'll know you're prepared for the right now...and the season to come. Just remember travel is yet another thing you buy, that makes you richer!
Have a wonderful trip!

Admit it. All this cold weather has you dreaming of being someplace else, less 'below zero' perhaps? Well, maybe it's not all bad, after all, they're only single digit negative numbers. Or, maybe you don't have to 'dream', maybe you are planning to head to an exotic locale? Maybe you're just 'done' with winter? Plum has all that in mind. They have put together an amazing early spring collection. So, be it for a last minute get-a-way, a long ago planned escape or you efficiently plan your wardrobe, Plum has a superb ensemble with you in mind.
Let's have a look at some of the dreamy pieces available now to get you ready:
One of the first things that springs to mind when thinking of warm climates is dresses. Effortless. Makes packing a breeze; add sandals or espadrilles and a hat, and you're set. The above Simone asymetrical hem dress, features a sweet print, with black border neckline and adjustable straps. Very easy jersey fabric makes it simple to pack and care for.
Simone flare dress (black/aqua and black/coral) $ 110
This lovely gauzy top, reminds me of radiant sunshine. Pixalated rose print is loose fitting, adding plenty of colour to offset any bottom you choose. (as above) Jeans, shorts or skirt. Why wait for warm weather to wear this? No reason this can't compliment one of our bright winter days here.
Plum oversize blouse $ 69 (also in blue print)
This really has a certain sex appeal without showing much skin. The curves are courtesy of you alone. The dress (a comfortable length), merely compliments them.
Simone scoop neck t shirt dress (fushia/seafoam, orange/turquoise, turqoise/grey) $ 85
Nothing really needs to be said about this....but I will. It's a tunic, a dress, a coverup, just lovely! And so translatable for pairing with so many things. If you're looking to pack light, this is a must. Features a below chest fixed gather and peak hole tie neckline as well as a slight slip for minimal coverage. Small gold buttons finish off the batwing sleeves. Truly Goddess wear!
Fate blue print dress $ 99
While this might seem like quite a simple piece, (which it is), it's also quite versatile. The colours this tank/tunic comes in conjur up images of ice cream. Which, also makes matching with other things, so uncomplicated. Therefore,if you prefer to add accessories, again, easy to add to this simple yet functional jersey. Surprisingly comprised of 96% bamboo.
Emma's Closet $ 39 (mint, black, peach, royal)
I honestly was presented with a rather difficult challenge with what to include here, with so many amazing warm weather options (skirts, more dresses, more breezy blouses etc.). Plum has you so prepared, you'd think they were coming along. In a way, they are. Take some photos and don't forget your sunscreen and sunnies!!
