Resolutions anyone? What are your top decree's of 2015? Do you still make them or have they gone the way of 'mailing Christmas cards'? While resolutions tend to be most associated with getting fit and healthy, they can be applied to any aspect of our lives.  According to a study done at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, which tracked 3000 participants, 52% were confident they'd reach their goals, yet when tracked one year later, 12% actually reached those goals. Of course, the anticipation of knowing your progress would be measured might have had an effect on their results.

Don't forget MAJOR markdowns have now taken place. Don't miss out on some hard to resist deals.

Here are my New Years resolutions and some great Plum picks:

1. Invest more time in creative endevors.

Speaking of artistic. This just looks like a lovely work of art, made to wear!

Flying Tomato Via Veneto cardigan $79 sale price $49

2. Take time to relax.

The first ingredient in this resolution is comfortable clothing. I think this fits the bill nicely, while not ignoring the subtle style details.

Freeloader oversized zip hoodie $59 sale price $32

3. Of course the dreaded 'work out' more regularly. Note it's not on the top of my list.

However, working out, suggests one feels more comfortable wearing the likes of the above saucy little skirt. Designed truly to show off those divine legs you've worked so hard on (or just naturally inherited).

Kerisma Anais skirt $79 sale price $39

4. Be more adventurous.

If that means just wearing different patterns than you'd usually choose or, try something 'just because', these pants fit the bill so well. The side insert is such a well thought out added design feature.

Plum Tartan side stripe trouser $89 sale price $42

5. Carry less baggage. In other words...clean closets.

Destined to be my most challenging, thus why it's last on my list. However, this then provides us and oportunity to invest in a lovely new handbag.

Street Level open weave tote $ 69 sale price $34

New Years resolutions! Really, one can begin anew any time, but it's a simple way to measure one's progress....feel free to share yours resolutions (and successes)with us. And if keeping track of things better is one of them....I'm certain there's an AP for that!

Yours in Fashion passion...

Any upcoming travel plans? With this sweater you have 2 pieces in one, making it a must-pack!  This Kerisma bubble knit sweater can be worn two ways: Long and draping, or short like a bolero with a shawl collar. Having the bubble texture differentiates this piece from other sweaters in your wardrobe, and the ability to wear it two ways will have you pairing it with everything in your closet. $105.

Learn To Love The Sweater Again

Image

Officially, autumn has begun, and with the change in weather, there's nothing more appealing than knitwear, and this season, the sweater makes the outfit.

This season's prints and textures range from the quirky and non-traditional, to new varieties of age-old favorites such as fair isle or stripes.   We are loving loose or gauzy knits over camisoles, or thick, chunky, knit tape sweaters over a maxi dress. Dropped stitch sweaters and cut-out shoulders are edgier options your mother would never have worn, but you could always go with the classic ribbed waist or turned cuff cardigans for lady-like ensembles for those times when she comes to visit.

Interesting details like fringe, pockets and buttons give this season's sweaters a fashionable edge over previous season basics, so you'll want to get varieties in all different of this season's rich hues.  Don't think black; I'm appealed to the palette of rusts, browns, charcoals, blush pinks, burgundies, teals, greens, reds and navy blues.

Fall is here, so you can learn to love the sweater again.
