Welcome to 2015. Hoping the holiday's were fun and joy filled with lots of get-to-gethers and great food. But that's all so 2014. Some of you fortunate ones have plans to escape the boredom and cold of January and possibly February. According to National Geographic, some of the top 10 beaches in the world, are directly south of us in the United States. And with the recent introduction of Airbnb's, this only opens up the possibilities of reasonable accomodations or last minute trips to these wonderful, relaxing, exotic locations. Thus leaving some funds for new outfits.
Below I've selected a few great picks from Plum's resort collection to get you drooling (and dreaming).
Dresses are always a go to favorite for their sheer simplicity. This lovely, flowing maxi, fits all the requirements for a beach vacation. Long, feminine, easy and stylish. And who can resist the lace back detail?
Signature 8 100% rayon maxi $85
This should be a staple for summer or any vacation. Who doesn't recall these from decades ago. So retro, yet never really goes out of style for the warm climates. Such an easy, light breezy piece with pretty embroidery work. Very functional, with a maxi skirt or shorts.
Lumiere spanish harlem blouse (White) $ 59
I happen to know this looks fantastic on. Not just on the model above. Don't let the twist front and tie dye pattern fool you. This can really extend your wardrobe and can certainly transcend many seasons. Wear (as above) with tights or as a bathing suit coverup. (or right now with knee high boots). So many options for this one.
Audrey Veradero twist front tunic (black/white) $69
Another beautiful, yet breezy piece that takes two forms. Tunic or dress. You pick.
Lumiere snake print tunic blouse $59
Wherever you go this winter, make a detour to Plum first. Undoubtedly the staff will assist you with your packing needs. And if packing light is a must, this requirement will not be a problem with all the lovely lightweight, fluid fabrications in store.
Don't forget to send a postcard.
Yours in fashion passion...
